How does the online courses work?

HealthWebCE didactic portion is conducted online.  students are able to view videos, animations, PP slide shows, online interactivities and more all over the internet.  the course is divided into chapters and each chapter has its own interactivities as well as quizzes and 1 chapter exam.  quizzes are repeatable, however, exam can only be taken 1 time.  once the student completes the didactic portion they are required to meet with an instructor to complete the skills portion.  Students are also required to complete clinical and practicum internships with our affiliated clinical sites.

What are the entry requirements?

18 y/o with HS diploma or GED (17y/o HS students may also apply)

clear criminal background check, clear drug screen

previous college hrs recommended but not required

Hepatitis B immunization, TB skin test within 1yr

internet access

If I have a criminal Background, can I still take a course with HealthWebCE?

Admission of students with a criminal background is considered on a case by case basis.  there are certain criminal offenses that will keep a student from getting NR or TX certified.  In most situations we refer the student to TX DSHS for further evaluation of criminal Hx.

Is the tactical medic course certified?

Yes, the tactical medic course is approved by TCLOSE.  It include classroom and physical agility as well as "LIVE" firearms training and sniper training.  Upon successful completion of this course students will take a final exam for certification.  the course is 5 consecutive days and you should plan to off work 24/7 throughout the 5 days.
